Women HAND in Hand present an event for women with international speaker and author Carol Kent on Friday, April 26 at 6:30 PM, and Saturday, April 27 from 9 AM to Noon at the Sedro-Woolley High School Auditorium.
Carol Kent and her husband, Gene, understand heartbreak. Their son, Jason, a young man who initially had so much promise, is now serving a life sentence for murder in a maximum-security prison. Humanly speaking they have run out of options. But there's more to the story.
With vulnerable openness, irrepressible hope, restored joy, and a sense of humor, Carol Kent encourages women to hold on to hope when life's circumstances turn out differently from their dreams.
A bestselling author, Carol has written extensively of God's amazing transformation in her books: When I Lay My Isaac Down, A New Kind of Normal, and Between a Rock and a Grace Place.
Singer, songwriter Desiree Olson shares the platform with Carol. Hailing from the Northwest, Desiree began leading worship at the age of 13 in her local church. Her desire to grow as a musician has taken her on a journey around the country including Nashville where she has written and recorded her songs. With a huge love for people, Desiree brings refreshing and authentic worship to our event.
