An Example Of Interference

health

Take a rubber-band.  If you were to wrap it around your finger several times, it would get very tight on your finger.  At first, you would find the rubber-band to be slightly irritating, but you could still function.  It would be an interference.  After a while, the pressure might build, depending on how tight the rubber-band was on your finger.

As time went on, you might notice a discoloration in the end of your finger, past the point of the interference.  The range of motion in that finger might even be affected, but you could still get by.    You could still do most of the activities that you wanted and needed to do with that finger.  However, the interference would start causing some pain.  Numbness would start to set in, that would create a little concern.  You are used to being able to feel the end of your finger.

What would you do?  What are your options?

Some people out there might say take a medication, a pain-killer of some kind.  It might help with the pain, but the problem is still there.  Some people may say exercise it.  You can open and close that join as much as you want, but the problem is still there.  Some people may say massage the muscles.  Still the problem.  Some say put on a lotion.  Still the problem.  Some say physical therapy.  Still the problem.

The problem is interference.  What you need is someone that recognizes that there is a rubber-band on your finger knows how to remove it without hurting you.  Depending on how long the interference has been there, removing the rubber-band may create some pain and tenderness. Blood rushing back into the finger, nerves opening up.  These are all parts of healing, ultimately resulting in a healthier joint and a healthier you.

That is what your chiropractor does for you.  They search out areas where there is interference in your nervous system and perform spinal adjustments to being to remove that interference so that you can function better.  Not just your finger.  All of you.
